To better reach out young workers in the country, the ILO and its partners have developed and launched communication tools in the forms of online OSH platform and game board.

To promote better occupational safety and health (OSH) awareness and culture of prevention in Indonesia, particularly young workers, the ILO in collaboration with the Ministry of Manpower and the Indonesian OSH Council (DK3N) launched an OSH communications tool named Youth4OSH Portal in Jakarta in the mid of this year. The portal was developed to serve as online platform for stakeholders in pilot Southeast Asia countries in Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar and Viet Nam.

“The establishment of this interactive communications platform is also marked the continuous efforts taken by Indonesia, with support of the ILO, in promoting OSH awareness and culture prevention for young people in the country.”

Abdul Hakim, the ILO’s National Coordinator on OSH
The Youth4OSH portal was initially introduced by the ILO in April 2018 during the commemoration of the World Day for Safety and Health. After the introduction, an initial training on the portal’s functions and usage was held in August 2018.

“The establishment of this interactive communications platform is also marked the continuous efforts taken by Indonesia, with support of the ILO, in promoting OSH awareness and culture prevention for young people in the country,” remarked Abdul Hakim, the ILO’s National Coordinator on OSH.
